What you need:

  • Coriander seeds – 4 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 ½ tbsp

6. Honey Onion Syrup for Common Cold

This is crazy but true. Syrup made of onion & honey can be used as a remedy for common cold.   • Red onion – 1
  • Organic raw Honey – 1 cup

  4. Now discard the bones & add the chicken meat to the soup by tearing it.

What you need:

  • Licorice root – 1 tbsp
  • Marshmallow root – 1 tbsp
  • Cinnamon sticks – 6

  3. Now wrap this hot water bag in a soft towel and lay it on your chest or on your back between the shoulder blades

  • Epsom salt – 1 cup

  3. Fill the tub half with water & add the combination of Epsom salt & essential oils to it.

27. How to Cure a Common Cold with Neti Pot

Neti pot is a technique used to clear the nasal passages with a mild saline solution. It is an efficient remedy to clear runny nose which is one of the major common cold symptoms.

What you need:

  • Neti pot – 1
  • Salt – ½ tsp
  • Baking soda – ¼ tsp
  • Water (lukewarm) – 1 cup
  • Tissue papers – 2 to 3

What you need to do:

  1. Prepare a saline solution by mixing ½ tsp of salt, ¼ tsp of baking soda in a cup of lukewarm water.
  2. Now pour this warm saline solution in a neti pot.
  3. Take a neti pot to the sink or wash basin.
  4. Bend yourself & tilt your head towards one side.
  5. Insert the spout of the neti pot into one nostril by taking the air with a mouth.
  6. The pour water in the neti pot will smoothly flow through the nasal passages by moisturizing the area.
  7. Finally, the water will come out of the other nostril by removing the mucus.
  8. Repeat the same process for other nostril.
  9. Now clean up the remaining mucus by using a tissue paper.
