  • Water- 1 cup
  • Dried marshmallow root- 1 tsp

Method-1: Raw Garlic


  • Garlic- 2 to 3 cloves


  • Take 2-3 garlic cloves.
  • Peel the cloves of the garlic and cut them into halves.

  • Dry chopped licorice root-1 cup
  • Cinnamon chips- ½ cup
  • Dried chamomile flowers- ½ cup
  • Clove powder- 2 tbsp
  • Water- 2 ½ cup
  • A bowl
  • A strainer


  • Take 1 cup of chopped dry licorice root, ½ cup each of cinnamon chips and dried chamomile flowers and 2 tbsp of clove powder in a bowl.
  • Mix all the ingredients well (you can store this mixture for few days).
  • Take 2 ½ cups of water and boil it.
  • Now, take 3 tbsp of the mixture and add to the boiling water to make a tea.
  • Boil this tea for 10-15 minutes in a low heat.
  • Then, strain the tea and drink it when it is warm.
  • You can have 2 cups of this tea for few days to get rid of throat inflammation and pain of strep throat.

5. Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne PepperThis hot spice is another great remedy for healing strep throat. It contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which are very effective in fighting bacteria that cause strep throat. Cayenne pepper also has ‘capsaicin’, which helps to flush out the toxins and germs that cause infection.

Method-1: With Honey and Garlic


  • Cayenne powder- ¼ tsp
  • Honey- 1 tbsp

  • Take 3 garlic cloves and grate.
  • Take ¼ tsp of cayenne powder, 1 tbsp of honey and the grated garlic in a bowl.

Method-2: For Gargling


  • Warm water- 1 glass
  • Cayenne pepper- ¼ tsp
  • Lemon juice- 1 tbsp


  • Take a glass of warm water, and add ¼ tsp of cayenne pepper, and 1 tbsp of lemon juice to it.

  • Hot water-1 cup

7. Onions

  • Onion- 1
  • Water


  • Take 1 onion, peel it and cut it into small pieces.
